ISO
The camera sensor's sensitivity to light.
What is iso?
ISO measures how sensitive your camera sensor is to light. Lower ISO values (100-400) produce cleaner images with less noise, while higher values (800-6400+) allow shooting in darker conditions but introduce grain or noise. For product photography, you should use the lowest ISO possible (typically 100-200) since you can control lighting. Higher ISO degrades image quality, which is especially noticeable in smooth product surfaces and solid color backgrounds.
Pro tips
Always use ISO 100-200 for studio product photography
If shooting with natural light, keep ISO below 800 to maintain quality
